RETABLOS OF HOPE

RETABLOS OF HOPE at Mountain Charter School. Flagstaff, AZ 86001
A fotoarts workshop with 2nd and 3rd graders, last fall and presented
at Photography On the Square and The Museum of Northern Arizona
this year.

Art Saves Lives.

Art Saves Lives. This is a place I wanted to share with the community about the importance of art and literacy. I have begun teaching artjournal workshops for kids and adults, as well as working within the schools as an artist in Residence through various grants. I teach photography, journaling, and writing as a way for people to learn about themselves and also as a way to validate their feelings while exploring their beliefs and cultures.

It is my hope that people can come here to learn more, and find inspiration to further their exploration and enrichen their learning and teaching experiences.

This has been a very exciting new development in my work as an artist, and it has been a wonderful way to share my passion for creative expression.

The work, RETABLOS OF HOPE, is from a workshop sponsered through the Border Book Festival and the ENLASA mentoring program in Las Cruces, NM thorugh the ENLASA mentoring program, bringing visiting artist and writers into the public schools in 2004.
